abstract = "The objective of this work was to analyze the spectral behavior of
different ground classes by means of remote sensing (RS) data. The
RS data were from sensor CCD on board at China-Brazil Earth
Resources Satellite (CBERS). The study area was in Aguanil city,
Minas Gerais state, Brazil. It was determinate 7 ground classes:
                         production-coffee, formation-coffee, pasture, agricultural area,
gallery forest, hydrograph and urban area. For each class samples
of digital number in the individual bands were acquired randomly.
It was observed that the digital numbers were sensible to the
variation of the classes. For example, the hydrograph that
presented the smallest ND values and, production-coffee class that
presented more biomass than formation-coffee, had smaller ND
values at visible bands and greater ND values at near-infrared
band, as response of pigments absorption and radiance scatter by
the leaves at these two bands, respectively.",
